- Legacy Theses – These are UCalgary open access digitized theses, completed prior to June 2012.
- Send a request to openscholarship@ucalgary.libanswers.com to remove your thesis from public access. Indicate whether the library can provide a digital copy upon request OR if you would like to approve all requests for a digital copy.
- Open Theses and Dissertations – UCalgary open access electronic theses and dissertations, completed post June 2012.
- Contact Faculty of Graduate Studies at thesis@ucalgary.ca and apply for a retroactive withhold: Delay in Public Release of Thesis | Faculty of Graduate Studies | University of Calgary (ucalgary.ca)
- Restricted Theses – Closed access theses. Content is digitized for preservation, but not available for digital lending by the library. These are only available for hard copy consultation in the Glenbow Western Research Centre, Taylor Family Digital Library, due to permission restrictions. No further action required.
As the author of your thesis, you continue to retain copyright ownership and moral rights for your thesis. PDF copies in the collection will be available for research and private study purposes. Anyone seeking to use thesis material for commercial gain or re-purposing will be required to seek permission from you.
If you wish to have your thesis removed from an open access collection, please contact openscholarship@ucalgary.libanswers.com. Similarly, if copyright-protected material appears in a thesis the copyright owner can request that material be removed.
