Follow the steps below on how to set up the Find Full Text feature in EndNote Desktop to locate University of Calgary library licensed resources. This is a one-time set-up:
- Within EndNote > under the Edit tab > select Preferences > select Find Full Text
- Fill out the two URL information for the Find Full Text feature to work with EndNote. This is a one-time set-up once EndNote is installed.
- Set Open URL Path to:
- Set Authenticate With URL to:
- Maximize the Find Full Text feature in EndNote by selecting all boxes for full text search options.
Important Note:
The success rate of the Find Full Text feature in Endnote is not 100%, but it should find and download as many of the article PDFs you need. Please remember that our subscription licenses and copyright laws prohibit you from sharing PDFs with users outside of the UCalgary community, so if you need to share an EndNote library with an outside user, contact us to ask about sharing only your EndNote records, without the PDFs.
