TRex is an AI-powered chatbot that lets you ask all kinds of questions about Libraries and Cultural Resources. Some ideas to get you started:
- Find out more about a program: "What exhibits are on at the Nickle?"
- Find out how to do something in the library: "How do I book a workroom?"
- Connect with someone in the library to get help: "Talk to a human"
How does TRex come up with answers to my questions?
TRex is trained on all the information found in the Library's website, including program pages, research guides, PDFs, directories, and more. TRex's knowledge of other information—like random facts and current events—is limited.
TRex can answer incorrectly for a variety of reasons, like misreading context or not understanding which area your question is about. Since it's not an exact science, don't rely on TRex for advice that's better coming from a human.
How can I give feedback?
TRex is young, and gets better with feedback. Let us know how it's going by giving a thumbs up or thumbs down when TRex responds to a question.
(Thanks to Tippie at UIowa for the inspiration)
