Requests for EMI Music Canada audiovisual recordings are submitted and managed through Digital Collections Orders on the Digital Collections site. This helps us understand your request and set up access in a way that best supports your research.
Archives staff review requests to understand the purpose, the amount of material needed, prior use, and copyright considerations. Staff will contact you to clarify your research needs before a decision is made.
Streaming access is the default method of access and is usually granted for a limited period. Requests for download are reviewed separately and are exceptional. Download access may be provided only for small excerpts under Canadian copyright exceptions or when written permission from the copyright holder has been obtained. When downloads are approved, MP3 is the standard file format unless higher-resolution formats are explicitly authorized.
Please contact Archives and Special Collections at asc@ucalgary.libanswers.com for more information.
