When a book becomes damaged, whether due to an accident, deliberate abuse, or simple wear and tear, it requires repair. These materials are segregated from the other books while library staff attempt to repair the damage. During this time, the book’s status will appear as “Damaged – ask at a Reference desk” in the library catalogue.
If you feel that a book you have borrowed requires mending, please bring it to the attention of the library staff when you return it.
Need a book that has its status listed as “Damaged” ? on the book. In most cases, an item will be repaired within a few business days (unless it is missing pages).
