Please include:

  • Photographer’s name.
  • Year created.
  • Title of the photograph, if there is one.
  • License for use if applicable.
  • Source of the original item.
  • Any modification made as permitted by copyright holder.

Preferred attribution format:

"Image title", YYYY, by First name Last Name, is used under [license, if applicable]. Courtesy of [Archive collection name], Archives and Special Collections, University of Calgary. Modifications to this image include [description].

Examples:

"'Jo Fox' ridden by Andy Newell at Calgary Exhibition and Stampede", 19??, by W.J. Oliver under fair dealing. Courtesy of Glenbow Archives, Archives and Special Collections, University of Calgary. Modifications to this image include cropping.
