How can I find and access UCalgary Archives & Special Collections materials?
Answer
You can search and discover archival materials in UCalgary's Search Archives database online at https://searcharchives.ucalgary.ca/ For digitized material, you can search UCalgary's Digital Collections website at https://digitalcollections.ucalgary.ca/ . For books in special collections you can search the online library catalogue on the main library homepage at https://library.ucalgary.ca/
You can access physical archival and special collections materials by appointment only in our reading room, the Glenbow Western Research Centre. We are located on the second floor the Taylor Family Digital Library (TFDL). Our reading room hours are Monday - Friday from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm.
We need 1-2 business day notice of your chosen appointment time to retrieve materials as most of our collections are housed in a storage and preservation facility off-campus. Just let us know what items you would like to access and your preferred time to visit, and/or if you have any questions. You can contact us by email at asc@ucalgary.libanswers.com or by phone at 403-220-3958
