In keeping with the University of Calgary Statement on Principles of Conduct, the library seeks to create and maintain a positive and productive learning environment in which all persons treat each other with respect.

The library supports freedom of access to information and all expressions of knowledge, creativity and intellectual activity in order to promote free inquiry and debate.  However, some material on the Internet (including text, image, or sound) may be construed to show lack of respect to others when displayed in a public place.

In order to maintain a positive research, study and work environment, workstation users who display such material in a public space will be expected to relocate to a more appropriate location when requested to do so by library staff or clients.
